Advocacy Project Coordinator

5 months fixed term contract, Maternity cover, starting Mid- August 2019

 

Ready to coordinate Countdown 2030 Europe, a 4-year multi-country advocacy project holding key European donor countries and the European Union to account for their international policy and funding commitments to achieve universal access across the world to sexual and reproductive health and address the unmet need for family planning?

 

As part of the IPPF EN advocacy team leading Countdown 2030 Europe (www.countdown2030europe.org), you will be responsible for the overall coordination of the project. Key priorities will be the organisation of the project planning meeting with the consortium partners, drafting of reports required by the donor, and guiding the annual European donor tracking review of European SRH/FP funding trends. You will also be in close contact with the country partners, overviewing the implementation of the project joint activities, contributing where relevant to the advocacy work and managing the communication strategy.

 

Profile: We are looking for a proactive team player with 3 to 5 years’ experience in advocacy, including experience in the field of development cooperation. You have a proven ability in coordination/ managing complex, multi partner projects. You show strong analytical, organizational and report writing skills as well as a proven track record in working in alliances/ coalitions. Fluency in English is essential together with excellent written and oral communication as well as strong interpersonal/negotiating skills. Knowledge of Sexual and Reproductive Health and Family planning is desirable.
